DESCRIPTION

Dragon fruit aka pitaya, pitahaya or strawberry pear, is high in nutrients, fiber and antioxidants. This superfood smoothie is creamy, refreshing and tastes like a treat. Enjoy smoothies in moderation as they are full of natural sugars.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 banana, chopped and frozen
  • 5 strawberries, frozen
  • 1/2 pink dragon fruit, chopped
  • 40ml almond milk

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

NOTES

  • Dragon fruit is also known as pitaya. If you can't find the fresh fruit where you are, you can also buy pre-packaged frozen ones.
  • Feel free to substitute almond milk with any other plant milk of choice!
  • Adjust amount of almond milk according to your preference. If you like a thinner smoothie, add more milk.
