I was wondering if doing the workout programs but more slowly would still be effective?
I like doing yoga and dance a few times a week, but I don't have enough time to do the program workout and yoga on the same day. So I'm thinking of interspersing the workouts with yoga throughout the week. That would mean I need more time to finish the programs, and I wouldn't be following exactly the schedule (since it would be similar to taking additional rest days I think? ).
But would the program still be effective, or would taking those "breaks" to do other exercises be bad?
Would it be better to do shorter programs, or it doesn't matter?
And if I dance/ do a short cardio session, would it be better to not do a program workout that day?
To clarify, my goal isn't to lose weight, but to get strong.
