Advice on high plank

Hey everyone, I have done Chloe Ting workouts back in the day and I’ve just started up again and found that I’m very unfit haha. But, you have to start somewhere right?

When I’m doing high plan or anything with hands taking weight, my wrists tend to hurt quite a lot and it’s making it difficult to finish the set.

Is this normal whilst you build up strength or am I doing it wrong? I have quite weak wrists in general, I struggle picking up large frying pans etc. 😅 but I really don’t want to damage anything from doing the exercises wrong.

Any help is appreciated and happy to connect with the community. Love this app. Nice to meet you all ❤️
