Hi all!! 👋🏻
I’m currently recovering from a mild ankle sprain after falling down the stairs… 😅 and I’ve just started the 2 Week Shred 2020 program. 🔥 I really want to stay active and keep seeing results, even if they’re minor, but I’m struggling with any exercises that put a lot of pressure on my ankle — especially things like lunges, curtsy lunges, single leg deadlifts, and frog pumps.
I know some ab-focused workouts still involve the legs for balance or movement. Is it okay if I skip or modify those exercises to avoid further strain on my ankle? I’m trying to avoid gaining weight from being too sedentary, but at the same time I really don’t want to risk making the injury worse.
Would love any advice or suggestions!
What would you do at this situation?
Would you fully rest? Modify?
Or something else?
Thank you so much in advance! 🤍
