Been working out for probably about a year now, my main goal is to build more functional strength and stamina. I’ve done a few weighted workouts so far, and I have seen my overall arm strength improve (started from no weights and now up to 15lbs each side!). However, there are definitely still some muscles/activities I just outright cannot do.
- I struggle with ab/glute workouts that require being on hands and knees or planking specifically because of my arms. Even after this time, I feel like it’s really hard to hold my body weight up for more than 20 seconds, even with knees on the ground.
- can’t do a push up. Even knees on the ground is pretty impossible.
- I wanna be able to do at least a few pull ups, just incase I dramatically tumble off a cliff and grab a branch and then I can cinematically pull myself up teehee. But really, I think it would be good to be able to do one. Just in case.
Does anyone have any advice for these kinds of workouts, or any programs/progressions you’ve done to help?
