Programs
Hi everyone! I’m looking for some guidance on which program might be best for my current situation.
I’m a long-time fan of Chloe’s, back in 2020, her workouts helped me build amazing muscle and I was living my healthiest lifestyle. However, in 2023, everything changed. I started gaining weight despite still working out consistently. My natural instinct is to push myself to the limit. I genuinely do it for the love of the game; I loved running an average of 8+ miles a day because of how good it feels, Chloe helped me realize working out wasn't just cardio but building muscle too. Anyway I spiraled into cutting my calories lower and lower while pushing myself to work out harder and harder. I was essentially beating myself like a dead horse to see results and also not lose all the results that I got from Chloe's plans, but instead of losing weight, I gained 30lbs and found out my thyroid was struggling. When I finally went to the doctors, they were no help at all. Even though my thyroid levels had dropped into the "low-normal" range, they dismissed it as "fine." They basically told me the problem was likely just cortisol and there was nothing they could do about it.
It felt like a total dead end. I’ve been trying to figure this out on my own, but because my default is always "go hard or go home," it's been a struggle. Now, I feel like my time has been wasted and I’m only two months away from a friend’s wedding. I still have that old muscle memory, but I need a plan that won't spike my cortisol or crash my metabolism further.
A few details:
Goal: Body recomposition (losing the 30lb thyroid gain while keeping my muscle).
Equipment: No gym I just have dumbbells up to 25lbs, a few kettlebells, and. Some resistance bands,
Timeline: 2 months (I dont expect on getting full results by this time just something is better than nothing)
Constraint: I need to avoid "extreme" HIIT that triggers stress, but I still want to feel the burn.
Has anyone with thyroid or hormonal issues found success with a specific program? Should I stick to something like Get Fit or Shred & Tone with low-impact modifications?
Thank you so much! 🤍
