Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness

Anyone else have DOMS right now? Lol, I like that I know I've worked out my muscles and can feel where I did, but it's the day after I worked out and I am so sore. (not in an injured way) I haven't worked out in a very long time. Can't remember how long it took for my muscle soreness to not be as intense. Did anyone else have to take extra rest days because of DOMS? How long did it take for you to stop getting it as bad? Eventually did you get up to the point that you can do programs without extra rest days?
