I recently started trying ab work outs. One thing I've noticed is when I feel like I "engage my core" it makes my abs stick out a lot. It definitely feels firm to the touch and I can feel my abs being worked, so I know I'm not just using other muscles, but I still don't think this is what I'm supposed to be doing. It's like when I clench my abs, everything just moves inward into a big pile. I've attached a few images from different angles (rather unflattering, lol), does anyone knows if this is doming or is it possible for an engaged core to just do that? I have a feeling I'm doing it incorrectly, any tips on what to do differently?
