Exercise form tips thread

Hi!
I hope there’s not already a post like that :) i thoyght maybe we could start a thread with our personal exercise tips, that helped us get a better form and posture = better and more safe results. Add yours even if you think it’s common knowledge - many people are just starting and don’t know how to do everything properly. Also, I know Chloe says all of this in the videos, but for some people it might be easier to have it all in one place.
So i’ll start
1) Any kind of deadlifts - push your hips back and forth instead of your arms lower. When you do it nicely, as you stand back up, you can feel your heels pushing into the ground, not your toes.
2) Hip thrusts - pause the video and try to have your lower back sticking to the mat. Then freeze that posture and move up and down. I used to have my lower back shaped like a rainbow and not only doing that exercise didn’t have much effect on me, it hurt me a lot.
3) Abs exercises - i can’t stress enough how much the breathing is important. Breathe out every time your abs are meant to be worked on. Stretching out your legs, aiming for your legs while they are up - that’s when you need to really breathe out and you will see amazing results.
4) While doing bicep curls, you can’t wiggle your hands around. But at the same time, sticking your elbows to your hips isn’t a good resolution either. Try to imagine an invisible block between hips/ribs and your elbows. You should keep them in the same position, but not rest the hands on any part of body.
Add your tips that may help me and others!
