Here’s what I did to help with my sugar cravings

I’ve always had such a sweet tooth, but when I started my weight loss journey I struggled so badly with sugar cravings. My biggest mistake was to go cold turkey and completely cut off sugar, but I would end up binging on any sweets I could find in my cupboard… In the end, I couldn’t see any progress because of that vicious circle. However I’ve learned that, first and foremost, I shouldn’t cut off anything and learn how to have a balanced diet. I’ve also learned that sugar cravings come from a blood sugar imbalance caused by spikes and dips — I’ve been given some tips by my nutritionist to help and stabilise my blood sugar levels (and as a result, have less sugar cravings), and I thought I would share some of them with you in case you’re also struggling: 1. I made sure to include fiber, carbs, fats and protein in every meal. 2. If I want a cookie, I’ll make sure to have nuts (I usually go for walnuts) & Greek yoghurt with my cookie. 3. I try to get some quality sleep, but I’m still struggling with this one. 4. I often go on a 5 or 10 minute walk right after my meal. 5. sometimes dilute apple cider vinegar with water (or with tea). I really want to know if you’ve tried some of them and if you think they helped you with sugar cravings, and let me know if you have other tips I could try too!
