Hi everyone! I’d really appreciate your advice or personal experiences — how did you start to truly enjoy working out instead of just pushing yourself through it?
Here’s my situation:
Two years ago, I completed the Hourglass Challenge (2023), and it completely transformed my body and mindset. I lost weight, toned up, and improved my endurance. It was hard, but I remember the feeling of joy — seeing progress, investing time in my health, and finishing each workout with pride.
But over the past 1.5 years, I’ve gone through a lot of stress — family issues and finishing my thesis. I gained some weight (around 5–7 kg), and now I’d love to get fit and strong again. I know my goal is totally achievable.
The problem is — I just can’t make myself work out consistently anymore. I’ve tried different challenges, workouts, even running… but I can only stick to it for 1 or 2 days, and then I stop. The only thing I sometimes manage is hitting my step count — and even that feels hard on some days.
So… I don’t want to force myself anymore. I want to enjoy moving my body again. I want working out to feel like self-care, not punishment.
If you’ve ever felt like this, please share:
- What helped you fall back in love with working out?
- Any mindset shifts, habits, or tips that made a difference for you?
Thank you in advance — I’d love to hear your stories or advice 💛
