When I first started my fitness journey a couple of months ago (9 months postpartum) I was nearly 140 pounds and I’m now at 126 pounds and I definitely do see some physical changes with my body, but the lower belly fat following pregnancy hasn’t really budged. Any suggestions/tips? ? (edited by moderator)

Hi! I’m a mom of 2 and am almost 10 months postpartum! First of all, I really just want to say congratulations for your hard work in your journey. You’re doing great!
As for the mommy pouch (as I call mine), I’ve had the same issue with not seeing much progress after 2 months of working out. However, I have started to notice a little bit of a difference after following videos on how to help “repair” my ab separation and incorporating a decent amount of cardio before or after my workouts within the last week or so! ☺️

Hey, so I have a little one at home and the post partum pouch too. Of course, it’s different for everyone but people can struggle to lose this for a number of reasons. It could be hormonal, your diet/gut health, or simply just looser skin from your bump which is reacting to gravity and “hanging” a bit.
However, some women can also experience diastasis-recti, which is the separation of the abdominal muscles.
Your stomach is going to be weaker, and you will have to rebuild your muscles before you notice them “toning up”. But honestly, love your pouch! I know that’s easier said than done but that pouch homed your beautiful baby.
Above all, if you’re struggling and concerned I suggest speaking with your doctor, they can point you in the right direction for you specific needs 🖤

You’re totally right about loving and embracing it though yes it is easier said than done. Thanks for all the useful information in your post!
