Fitness Discussion

I bought a no brand mini stepper and have a couple of questions:
Am I supposed to step on it all the way down? It keeps making a hitting sound if I step it all the way down, and that annoys me (I bought this because some claims it doesn't make lots of sound)
Okay it's squeaking! I sprayed WD40 on every bolts and nuts, at this point it's my perfume. (NVM guys, I figured this out)
The counter sometimes missed my steps wether I step on it all the way or just halfway. Is this normal or mine is just the bad one? (The counter doesn't really matter to me, I'm just curious)
