Reviewing the 2019/2020/2021 2 Week Challenges

Hello! I wanted to share my thoughts now that I've finished three challenges that I felt were very similar in nature, in case anyone was curious about visiting older/shorter challenges and wanted an opinion in 2025.

2021 2 Week Challenge
This was the first ever CT challenge I did. It was wonderfully constructed, well-balanced, and all-around fun to do! I can totally see myself revisiting this challenge. I felt like each day mixed up what muscles I would be focusing on and had a new set of exercises or movements to try. The repeated videos felt spread out and like a fun check-in to see how much I had improved since the last time I did it.

I believe the hardest part of the challenge is the time commitment. Afterwards, I was stunned that I could feel so good after only 2 weeks of exercise. I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

2019 2 Week Challenge review
This was a challenge both mentally and physically!

I think this challenge's greatest strength and greatest weakness is its repetition. Mentally, I felt pretty understimulated by the challenge at the start because I always wanted to be trying something new, and every day I showed up to the challenge counting down to myself how many days of the same video I had left.

Once the countdown got to the last 5 days, I realized I was feeling excited about the repeated videos. I knew what to expect, I was starting each exercise in good form, and I was completing them better and stronger than how I started. I was suddenly totally okay with the repetition!

This challenge definitely changed how I view my preferences. At the start, I definitely believed I was someone who was only motivated by variety and stimulation. Now, I'm feeling a lot more confident about approaching repetitive workout routines without being scared that I'll get bored and stop.

2020 2 Week Challenge
My goodness, this was a level-up and a difficulty spike from 2019! It was way faster-paced, way more intense, and expected a truly incredible amount of stamina and mental fortitude to keep up.

I was not prepared! To this day, I think I will always remember Day 5 of that challenge because it felt so incredibly brutal to do for a beginner such as myself. My arms and my core had hit muscle fatigue, so when I started the Plank Challenge video, my body immediately gave out and I collapsed on the yoga mat. I had to pause the video every 20 to 30 seconds until I got to the end.

This was also the challenge that made me strong enough for a variety of movements without low-impact variations: up-and-down jacks, plank jacks, and scorpion planks. I definitely got the most muscle out of this challenge over the other two.

Overall: all three challenges led to losing fat and gaining muscle! I also feel lighter and stronger and better prepared for a longer challenge! If you want to visit these older challenges, I think they're all worthwhile!
