What have you learned about eating healthy?

What I’ve learn to eat healthy on the long run
What I really want you to remember is this :
To eat healthy is not a sprint but a marathon so of course it’s okay to eat what we really love .

What was really important and effective for me was to understand that I wanted to eat healthily not only to lose fat but also for better mental and physical health.
I was tired of regretting my bad decisions, which affected not only the present but also the future, and made you lose a lot of self-confidence, not being able to be consistent in efforts.

So here are a few tips that worked for me:

1. identify why we eat:
When we're not eating, we tend to indulge in lots of little things which, when accumulated, make up more than a full meal.
And here's what usually drives us to eat:
Stress, boredom, television, wanting to escape from reality or wanting to reward ourselves.
So the question to ask is: Am I hungry? Why do I want to eat?
What do I want to escape ? Face up your difficulties ☺️

2. If you want to eat something sweet, first eat a fruit; if that doesn't work because you want something specific like a cake, don't restrict yourself but include it as a dessert when it's time to eat, not outside of it.
Over time, the brain registers that when we crave something sweet, it will instinctively turn to fruit first rather than industrialized sugar , which provides no nutrients to the body.

3. Do most of the cooking yourself, that way you know what you're eating, because unfortunately, industrial companies add sugar even to savory dishes.
Cooking yourself avoids ingredients that don't belong in the dish.
Vegetables can be delicious if you know how to prepare them ☺️

4. Sleep well.
When we don't get enough sleep, it adds stress to our daily lives that we don't need, which also affects our desire to eat because of the stress. . .

5. Learn to eat just enough.
It's important to remember that we eat above all to satisfy a need, and it's one of the ills of today's society to have given the impression that food is there above all to please us too much.
We have 1000 and one ways of pleasing ourselves.
So I think it's important to learn to give food a place that's reasonable and beneficial to our health.
When we feel we can stop eating, we stop and say out loud: I'm not hungry anymore, I'm full !
Saying it out loud is important for the brain to understand that it is no more a simple thought but a fact . Try and you will see 😀

6. If food is a refuge, we must replace it with another refuge.
For example, I replace food with a walk when I feel suffocated and want to get some peace and quiet.
It can be whatever you want it to be, as long as it has the same effect on you and you're not disappointed in yourself.

That’s it , I hope it was not too long 😅
