Why am I gaining weight even though I'm eating less and working out?

I've been exercising for quite some time now. In the first week i quickly lost 1.5kg but in the second week I gained 1kg even though I'm eating less and consistently working out. Now my weight doesn't seem to be decreasing at all. Is there any reason behind this and any advice??

It's probably because you're gaining muscle! Don't worry about it, muscle will aid you in working out and losing weight by increasing the calories you burn during rest hours of the day. If you're wanting to lose weight specifically I would try cardio programs. Especially since the muscle you're building now will help you complete them. <3 (edited)

It's probably because you're gaining muscle! Don't worry about it, muscle will aid you in working out and losing weight by increasing the calories you burn during rest hours of the day. If you're wanting to lose weight specifically I would try cardio programs. Especially since the muscle you're building now will help you complete them. <3 (edited)

Weight fluctuations are completely normal, even on the most consistent and committed weight loss journey. Your weight can fluctuate up for a lot of reasons that don't relate to fat gain:
- food volume in transit through your digestive system
- more salt/carbs than usual
- sleep/stress issues
- hormonal changes (like in the lead up to a period; if you have a hormonal cycle, it's best to compare weights at similar points in the cycle, like a few days after a period ends on one month v. the next)

Eating, even if done correctly, will make your weight fluctuate throughtout the day. Don’t just randomly gain muscle if it’s not your objective because some forms of gaining muscle especially for the flutes means that you’ll gain more weight in the gut area as well so focus on what your target is and take it from there

Maybe gaining muscles? Ate you weighing at the exact same time? Empty stomage/in the morning after toilet?
I would recomend not looking at the weight to much. It might not change or even increase.
Concentrate more on doing the workout and how it makes you feel.

I would recomend not looking at the weight to much. It might not change or even increase.
Concentrate more on doing the workout and how it makes you feel.

I usually weigh myself in the morning on an empty stomach. Ty for the advice.

I had the same issue starting out and I believe it was water retention from inflammation due to the workouts. I did the 24’ summer shred first and ultimately lost 5 lbs after it was done. 1.5 lbs a week is still considered healthy weight loss 👍
