Wrist Pain

Any advice for painful wrists during planks, mountain climbers etc. ?

Just finished my first day of the 2024 Weight loss Programme and I'm feeling deflated as I had to pause a couple of times due to the pain. Am I doing something wrong or is this something that will improve over time?

This is one of those issues where you can definitely try strategies like paying careful attention to warming up your wrists, playing around with different hand positioning, or wearing wrist braces, but you may also need to consider asking an actual professional like a doctor or a physical therapist if those strategies don't help or the pain worsens.

In Chloe's Discord server, we have a picture pinned in the #fitness channel that has some great wrist stretches. I've found that my occasional wrist pain is helped by using dumbbells or push-up handles to rest on as it's the flat hand position that causes my discomfort. As with all things, YMMV! (edited)

It will improve over time but you should also warm up your wrists before training! that helps not to hurt you

Do you warm them up simply with wrist rotations?

That's right, but with conscious movements, don't do it so fast, that helped me
