Mid Year Journey
I had an awesome team for this challenge, so first, thank you all for being so supportive! I loved teaming up with you and taking this challenge on together! 💪💪
This was my first cardio/hiit challenge and I absolutely loved it! I was slightly scared in the beginning that the cardio would be too hard but I impressed myself with this challenge. I feel like all the strength training I've been doing helped me to have the strength to do all the exercises and I'm really grateful that I did so much of that before this challenge.
Get Snatched was my 11th challenge! Wow! I have come so far in less than a year! I was able to do high impact exercises for the first 2 weeks and was able to finish my sets without extra pausing in between by the end of 2 weeks. I added ankle weights to my ab videos the first week. By day 10 i was able to add wrist weights to abs as well, including planks and crab toe touches! My core is feeling so strong!
During my previous month i had been able to cut 100-150 calories from my budget and was still feeling good. On day 6 i decided to cut another 100 calories to "cut" weight during this challenge. After about a 5 days i was getting run down and not recovering well so I added those calories back to my diet. Week 2-3 we had bad weather, I got stuck at the grocery standing on concrete for over an hour in the wrong shoes and had a bad arthritis flare up. I went back to lower impact exercises for the rest of the challenge.
I really enjoyed Get Snatched and would absolutely do it again. Total success in reaching my goals for the challenge. I feel like i lost some muscle in my arms/low body so I'll be back on resistance training soon, I like how strong I feel pushing weight. I also enjoy the longer days vs short cardio days, but the challenge served it's purpose. I'm definitely smaller. I "feel" more jiggly than firm in my lower body, though i think my booty is actually perkier. I think I'm starting to get some loose skin which could be part of the jiggle so we'll see how that goes. 💪🫠💪
I lost 7.2 lbs during this challenge with an average budget of 1775 calories per day. I lost over 7 inches across my arms, legs, lower belly, chest and shoulders. I did add extra ab videos to some of the beginning days, but once i had the arthritis flare up i stopped pushing for extra and stuck to my schedule.
What do you think? Did I Get Snatched? ⏳️
