FOOD ISSUE!!!!!

Guys im trynna eat more healthier but, idk how. I live in a Mexican-American household and eat basically anything. Mex, American, Asian etc. I wanna lose weight too and eat better but, making something that's different from what my family cooks for the day is hard to not eat bc its just so rude and can hurt my family for their hard work. Its also very hard for me to tell them what i'm trying to do without them turning me down ab it, saying that I don't eat enough or eat at all, telling me that ppl and the internet are telling/showing me that I need to lose weight, or telling me that I don't need to. I really do understand that their looking out for me and want what's best for me but, I have notice that I am a bit overweight and close to being actually overweight. Our typically diet is red meats, lots of different spices and veggies, (which is mainly chilles) sometimes lean meats, other proteins and good fats, and either flour or corn tortillas. And lets not forget the many different types of sweets that are jst so hard to resist. Sometimes we'll go out and buy food from a restaurant or fast food like pizza or wtv is near by. If we eat anything American jst think of the typically things that Americans eat. I wanna learn how to eat healthier while incorporating that into traditional mexican foods. I also want to point out that I am a VERY PICKY EATER and don't like surtain foods like tomatoes, most condiments, some saled dressings and veggies. (especially cucumbers and tomatoes). idk y I jst do, don't hate on me for that.
