I've been trying to cook Japanese styled dishes. It takes longer, but it's so fun to try different dishes. Plus it's super healthy. You get a little bit of everything with fun tasty ways to incorporate veggies.
This style of food is called Washoku. (one soup, three dishes). It's emphasis is healthy fresh food.
All these bowls are small. Around a cup in size.
First Picture: Poke bowl with less than a cup of white rice. Edamame, cut carrots, cucumber, crab, bonito on top (dried fish flakes) kewpie mayo, low salt soya sauce, sesame seeds. Nori. We had a bowl of miso soup with a variety of veggies, including bok choy. And then green tea.
Second image: Homemade steamed pork dumbings. Crab salad on the side. (shredded crab, cucumber and kewpie mayo). The next plate is half a cup of rice with nori and crab. Miso soup with coconut milk and veggies (sweet potato being the main veg) and low salt soya.
Third image: Udon noodles with pork, carrots and cabbage with sesame seeds. One small plate of air fried sweet potatoes coated in a bit of honey. A small bowl of fried egg plant and green pepper. A bowl of miso soup with veggies.
