the goal of eating less sugar/ultra processed foods is to not feel deprived

i regularly watch youtube videos about nutrition, health and weight loss. i came across a comment on a video about food and it made a very good point, to eat less sugary, sweet foods (which i know is a common goal amongst us 😂) is to not feel deprived or like we're "missing out" on something. i thought about how i am currently successfully phasing out sugary drinks from my diet and hopefully for the rest of my life. too many drinks have so many added sugars!! youre just drinking calories without the benefit of feeling full and satisfied. im very proud of myself for sticking with water and teas for most of my meals (liquid IV is a life saver). and now i only drink socially.

so i want to ask, how would you phase out sugary foods and pastries and desserts? how would you limit your intake? even though i don't drink sweet drinks that much anymore, i still eat something sweet everyday...does anyone have the same problem and if so, how are you going about it?
