Hey all, I started my journey once again around 3 months ago. I really like to cook nd discover new ways to give myself more energy. When I started I didn't know much and only followed what I've been told or what I have heard but then I thought it's all way too much and I felt very overwhelmed... :/
I thought, I need to figure out what my goal actually is. And it occurred to me that I look fine, all I want is to have a healthy gut, and be stronger.
I suffered bad abdominal pains because I would take too much iron (i used to take one tablet daily) this happened for a month until I decided to stop. I then had bad period cramps and it's still not regulated but that all got me to start again with a healthy continence. So I did. I started all over again. I did some research into Marcos counting and have been using the MacroFactor app for about 3 weeks now (used to count my calories so it was simple for me to use). It's all going very well, I'm really motivated when I make sure that I eat well and stay within the calories I want to achieve. I started drinking greens every morning which help me with my gut and also take probiotics which also help me (it may not be for everyone). I also absolutely strive to each much much more protein and veg! I try to each a small amount of gluten as that is what bloats me most which is something I found out not long ago.
Needless to say, I believe food is the answer to most problems!
I really hate working out. I walk at least 10k steps a day and it does nothing to my body to be completely honest. I started watching YouTube videos and nothing really gave me what I wanted and I didn't want to pay for another app so I found Chloe, something about her videos made me think I can actually enjoy fitness and just get on with it each day. It's exactly what I've been looking for. I'm only on my second week but it's been going well for me, I am more motivated when I complete the workout and even more motivated when I drink enough water or eat enough protein! Gives me satisfaction!
I still enjoy occasional sweets, takeouts and alcohol, you don't need to cut that off just moderate it and control it. Stay strong even on the worst days, push to complete the workout to your best abilities and remember that the main thing in a journey is a balance between your gut, fitness and your happiness too!!
You've got this! One step forward is always better than none even if it is very small!
