Breakfast ideas

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a few breakfast ideas with you guys that I use often.

1. Breakfast Rice: (when we were growing up, mom called it porrige but I'm not sure what everyone calls it). So I use jasmine rice, but regular white rice works too. Boil the rice until it's cooked/soft. I add to the rice Splenda (zero calories sugar substitute, you can use regular sugar or whatever substitute you use), Cinnamon, a tad bit of butter, and a little bit of milk (fat free, but any milk you use for your diet would work). Make sure it's warm, its better warm. It's simple but so so good!

2. Homemade protein bowl: (Not sure what it's actually called, so made up a name for it.) Get any type of steak/meat similar. Try to get one with less fat content. I normally do sirloin steak. Chop it up into bite size pieces and cook it in a tad bit of butter (or olive oil, as it's healthier. Butter adds a flavor but I don't always use butter because olive oil is better on a diet) and cook it with your favorite veggies. I do chives and different types of peppers. Season it with your favorite seasonings, whatever you would normally season steak with. You can eat it as it is, which is what I do, or you can eat it on a tortilla with hotsauce which my brother said he likes.

3. Fruit salad in yogurt: Chop up your favorite fruits that go good together. I normally use strawberries, apples, and other sweet fruit. Make them bite sized. Get your favorite yogurt, Greek is better on a diet but I hate Greek yogurt so I use regular when I can treat myself, and I get strawberry yogurt with the chunks of strawberry in it. Mix the fruit in with the yogurt, you can add a sugar substitute (such as Splenda) if you like, normay I don't think it needs any. Just for the appealing look, i make the fruit salad, put it in a glass bowl all neat and then line the sides and middle with the fruit that's in it like strawberries)

(Also if you like these, I have lunch/dinner ideas and more breakfast ideas I can start posting one or a couple every day depending on what you guys think :) )
