Life Advice
A little background: I used to train karate at least three times a week (I was in the national team and competed at a world level), did home workouts
and occasionally went running. My body was fit and responsive – if I needed to be in a swimsuit the next day, I could eat very little that day, and my body would be as slim as a sheet the following day.
Fast forward to now: my physical activity has dropped significantly over the last five months due to a leg injury, and as a result, my body has changed a lot. From September to December, I gained 5 kg. Since January, I cut out all sugar, ate minimally but healthily, and for the past 10 days, I’ve been tracking my calories – averaging no more than 1200 per day. I’ve also been doing the Chloe Ting Hourglass Challenge.
So far, I’ve lost about 3 kg, but my weight fluctuates a lot. One evening I might weigh 56 kg, and by the next morning, I can gain a whole kilogram. Despite all this, my body hasn’t returned to its previous shape. Before, even if I gained a bit of weight, I could get back to my original shape in just a couple of days. Now, I feel constantly bloated, and my stomach is always “puffy” rather than flat.
The first photo is how I looked before, the second two ared today’s reality.
What’s going on with my body, and what can I do to help it get back on track? I think this workouts and nutrition aren’t enough.
