working out with a physically demanding job

hi, im sort of looking for advice, tips, or any comments in general about my situation. i want to work out consistently for the purpose of getting stronger and toning my body (i have achieved decent weight loss-yay!). however i have a physically demanding job that essentially involves hours of walking and occasionally lifting heavy objects. most days i get home tired and just want to sit down, especially when my lower back hurts. a lot of the days are unpredictable, sometimes i feel fine and energized after work and sometimes i don't.

i also want to be in a caloric deficit but it's difficult when i obviously need calories to fuel my body for my job lol.

if you were in my position, would you bother with exercise outside of work? how should i maintain consistency if i continue with exercise? i havent worked out for two weeks and i feel really lazy about doing it again (besides doing yoga). i really want to have a strong core and do strength training, but it feels impossible sometimes.

any feedback or general comments is appreciated.
